Interior Rearview Mirror

Adjust the inside rearview mirror so that the center of the rear window is visible. Make this adjustment before you start driving.

Do not place objects on the rear seat that will obstruct your view through the rear window.

WARNING! Mirror adjustment

Do not adjust the rearview mirror while driving. This may result in loss of control.

WARNING

Do not modify the inside rearview mirror in any way, including installing a wider mirror. This may result in injury during an accident or airbag deployment.

Day/Night Rearview Mirror

Make this adjustment before driving and while the day/night lever is in the day (1) position.

Pull the day/night lever toward you (2) to reduce glare from the headlights of vehicles behind you during night driving.

Keep in mind that you lose some rear view clarity in the night position.

Electrochromic Mirror (ECM) (if equipped)

The auto-dimming rearview mirror automatically controls glare from the headlights of vehicles behind you at night or in low-light conditions. A sensor installed in the mirror detects the ambient light level around the vehicle and automatically controls glare from the headlights of vehicles behind you.

With the engine running, glare is automatically controlled by the sensor installed in the rearview mirror.

Whenever the shift lever is moved to reverse (R), the mirror automatically switches to the brightest setting to improve the driver's view behind the vehicle.

CAUTION

When cleaning the mirror, use a paper towel or similar material dampened with glass cleaner. Do not spray glass cleaner directly onto the mirror. Liquid cleaner may enter the mirror housing.

To operate the electrochromic mirror:

  • The mirror is in the ON position by default whenever the ignition key is in the ON position.
  • Press the ON/OFF button (1) to turn the auto-dimming function off. The mirror indicator light (2) will turn off.

Press the ON/OFF button (1) to turn the auto-dimming function on. The mirror indicator light (2) will illuminate.
