Sunroof

~1min read

If your vehicle is equipped with a sunroof, you can slide or tilt the sunroof with the sunroof control switch located on the overhead console.

The sunroof can be opened only when it is closed or tilted with the ignition switch in the ON position.

The sunroof can be used for approximately 30 seconds after the ignition key is removed or turned to the ACC or LOCK (or OFF) position.

However, if the front door is opened, the sunroof will not operate even within 30 seconds.

CAUTION

To prevent sunroof damage, periodically remove any dirt that may accumulate on the guide rails.

In cold and humid climates, the sunroof may not operate properly due to freezing conditions.

After washing the vehicle or driving in rain, be sure to wipe off all water on the sunroof before operating it.

The sunroof cannot slide when it is in the tilt position, and cannot be tilted when it is in the open or slid position.

CAUTION - Sunroof control lever

Do not continue to press the sunroof control switch after the sunroof is fully open, closed, or tilted. Damage to the motor or system components may occur.

WARNING! Sunroof Operation

When closing the sunroof, make sure no body parts are within the range of movement of the sliding roof. Body parts may become trapped or crushed.

WARNING

Never adjust the sunroof or sun visor while driving. This may cause loss of control and an accident that could result in death, serious injury, or property damage.

WARNING

To prevent accidental sunroof operation, do not let children operate the sunroof.

WARNING

Do not sit on the roof of the vehicle as this may cause damage.

CAUTION

Do not extend luggage out of the sunroof while driving.
