Washer Fluid Level Inspection

The reservoir is transparent, so the level can be checked quickly by visual inspection.

Check the fluid level in the washer fluid reservoir and add fluid if necessary. In warm climates, plain water may be used if washer fluid is not available; however, in cold climates, washer fluid with antifreeze properties is required to prevent freezing.

WARNING - Flammable fluid

Keep washer fluid away from open flames or sparks. Windshield washer fluid is flammable under certain conditions. It may cause a fire.

WARNING - Coolant

  • Do not use radiator coolant or antifreeze in the washer fluid reservoir.
  • Radiator coolant may seriously reduce visibility when sprayed on the windshield and may result in loss of vehicle control.

WARNING - Windshield washer fluid

Do not drink windshield washer fluid. Windshield washer fluid is poisonous to humans and animals.
