Sunroof

~1min read

If your vehicle is equipped with a sunroof, you can slide or tilt the sunroof using the sunroof control lever located on the overhead console.

The sunroof can be operated for approximately 30 seconds after the ignition is turned off or the engine is stopped, unless the sunroof is turned off with the sunroof control button.

However, if the driver's door is opened, the sunroof cannot be operated even within 30 seconds.

WARNING! Damage to the sunroof motor.

To prevent damage to the sunroof, periodically remove dirt that may accumulate on the guide rail.

In cold and humid climates, the sunroof may malfunction due to freezing.

After washing the vehicle or during heavy rain, be sure to wipe off any remaining water on the sunroof before using it.

WARNING - Sunroof Control Lever

Do not press the sunroof control switch after the sunroof is fully open, closed, or tilted. This may damage the motor or system components.

The sunroof cannot slide when it is in the tilted position, nor tilt when it is in the open or slid position.

WARNING - Roof load

Do not use the sunroof when carrying cargo on a roof rack. Cargo may come loose and distract the driver.

WARNING

Never adjust the sunroof or sunshade while driving. This may cause loss of control and an accident resulting in death, serious injury, or property damage.

WARNING

Do not allow children to operate the sunroof. This may result in injury to the child.

WARNING

To prevent accidental operation of the sunroof, especially by a child, do not allow children to operate the sunroof.

WARNING

Do not sit on the roof of the vehicle. This may cause damage to the vehicle.

CAUTION

Do not extend luggage outside the sunroof while driving.
