Rear Parking Distance Warning (Reverse) assists the driver when backing up. The system warns the driver with an audible signal when an object is detected within 120 cm (47 in.) behind the vehicle.

This system is a supplemental system and does not replace the driver's need for caution and attention. The detection range and objects detected by the rear sensors (1) are limited. When backing up, pay the same attention to what is behind you as you would in a vehicle without the Rear Parking Distance Warning (Reverse).

WARNING

The Rear Parking Distance Warning (Reverse) is only a supplemental feature. Several factors (including environmental conditions) may affect the operation of the Rear Parking Distance Warning (Reverse) system. The driver is responsible for always checking the area behind the vehicle before and while backing up.
