Fahrzeug abschleppen lassen

~1min read

If emergency towing is required, it is recommended to have the vehicle towed by an authorized Kia dealer or a commercial towing service. To avoid damage to the vehicle, professional towing procedures must be followed. A trailer (1) or a flatbed truck is recommended.

The vehicle can be towed with the front wheels raised and the rear wheels on the ground (without a trailer).

If the rear wheels or suspension are damaged, or the vehicle must be towed with the rear wheels raised, place the front wheels on a trailer.

If the vehicle is towed by a commercial tow truck and a trailer is not used, the front wheels must be raised off the ground, not the rear wheels.

DANGER

  • Do not tow the vehicle backward with the front wheels on the ground, as this may cause damage to the vehicle.
  • Do not tow the vehicle with a rope sling. Use the towing eyes or a flatbed truck.

If your vehicle is in an emergency situation and a trailer is not used for towing:

1. Turn the ignition key to the ACC position.

2. Move the shift lever/selector to the neutral position (N).

3. Release the parking brake.

DANGER

If the shift lever/selector is not in the neutral (N) position, internal gear damage may occur.
