Air Intake Control

~1min read

Used to select the outside (fresh) air position or the recirculation position. To change the position of the intake air control, press the control button.

Recirculated Air Position

When the recirculated air position is selected, air from the passenger compartment will pass through the heating/cooling system and be heated or cooled depending on the selected function.

Outside (Fresh) Air Position

When the outside (fresh) air position is selected, air enters the vehicle from outside and is heated or cooled according to the selected function.

✽ NOTICE

Running the heater in recirculated air position (without air conditioning selected) for a long time may cause the windshield and side windows to fog up and the air inside the vehicle may become stale.

In addition, using the air conditioner for a long time with the recirculated air position selected will cause the air inside the vehicle to become excessively dry.

WARNING

  • Continuous use of recirculated air in the climate control system may increase humidity inside the vehicle, resulting in fogged glass and reduced visibility.
  • Do not sleep in the vehicle with the air conditioning or heating on. This may cause serious injury or death due to low oxygen levels and/or body temperature.
  • Continuous use of recirculated air in the climate control system may cause drowsiness, which may lead to loss of control of the vehicle. Set the air intake control to outside (fresh) air as much as possible while driving.
