❈ The actual cargo area in the vehicle may differ from the illustration.

Your vehicle is equipped with an emergency tailgate release lever located at the bottom of the tailgate. If someone is accidentally locked in the cargo area, the tailgate can be opened by performing the following steps:

1. Insert the mechanical key into the hole.

2. Push the mechanical key to the right.

3. Lift the tailgate.

WARNING

  • In emergency situations, be fully aware of the location of the tailgate release lever in the vehicle and how to open the tailgate if you are accidentally locked in the cargo area.
  • No one should be allowed to occupy the cargo area of the vehicle at any time. The cargo area is a very dangerous place in the event of an accident.
  • Use the release lever in emergency situations only. Use extreme caution, especially when the vehicle is in motion.
