ISG System Malfunction

The system may not operate when:

A sensor related to the ISG system or a system error has occurred.

The following will happen:

• The yellow AUTO STOP () indicator on the instrument cluster will remain on after flashing for 5 seconds.
• The ISG OFF button indicator will illuminate.

✽ NOTICE

• If the ISG OFF button indicator does not turn off by pressing the ISG OFF button again, or if the ISG system continues to malfunction, we recommend that you contact an authorized Kia dealer as soon as possible.
• When the ISG OFF button indicator is illuminated, it may turn off after driving your vehicle at approximately 80 km/h for up to two hours and setting the blower speed control knob below the 2nd position. If the ISG OFF button indicator remains illuminated despite this procedure, we recommend that you contact an authorized Kia dealer as soon as possible.

WARNING

When the engine is in idle stop mode, the engine can restart without any driver action.

Before getting out of the vehicle or working in the engine compartment, stop the engine by turning the ignition switch to the LOCK/OFF position or removing the ignition key.
