Power Window Lock Button (for 5-door and wagon)

~1min read

The driver can disable the power windows for the rear passenger doors by pressing the power window lock switch to the locked position (pressed in).

When the power window lock switch is pressed:

  • The driver's main control panel can operate all power windows.
  • The front passenger switch can operate the front passenger power window.
  • The rear passenger control cannot operate the rear passenger window power.

CAUTION

  • To avoid possible damage to the power window system, do not open or close two or more windows at the same time. This will also ensure the fuse's durability.
  • Never attempt to operate the driver's main power window switch and an individual door window switch in opposite directions at the same time. If this is done, the window will stop and cannot be opened or closed.

WARNING - Windows

  • NEVER leave children unattended in the vehicle with the keys when the engine is running.
  • NEVER leave children unattended in the vehicle. Even very young children may accidentally move the vehicle, become entangled in the windows, or otherwise injure themselves or others.
  • Always double-check to make sure all hands, fingers, head and other obstructions are safely removed well before closing the window.
  • Do not allow children to play with the power windows. Keep the driver's door window lock switch in the LOCK (pressed) position. Serious injury may result from unintentional window operation by a child.
  • Do not stick your face or arms out of the window while the vehicle is in motion.

If the window cannot be closed because it is blocked by objects, remove the objects and close the window.
