Power Windows

~1min read

The ignition switch must be in the ON position for the power windows to operate. Each door has a power window switch that controls the window of that door. The driver's door has a master power window switch that controls all windows in the vehicle. The driver also has a power window lock switch that can disable the operation of the rear passenger windows. Power windows can operate for approximately 30 seconds after the ignition key is removed or turned to ACC or LOCK. However, if either front door is opened, the power windows cannot be operated even within the 30-second period.

✽ NOTICE

While driving with the rear windows lowered or with the sunroof (if equipped) open (or partially open), your vehicle may exhibit wind buffeting or pulsating noise. This noise is normal and can be reduced or eliminated by taking the following actions. If the noise occurs with one or both rear windows partially lowered, lower both front windows approximately one inch. If you feel the noise with the sunroof open, slightly reduce the size of the sunroof opening.

WARNING

Do not install any accessories in the window area. This may affect the anti-jam protection.
