WARNING

Always wear suitable footwear when operating your vehicle. Unsuitable footwear (high heels, ski boots, etc.) may interfere with your ability to operate the brake and accelerator pedals and the clutch (if equipped).

✽ WARNING - Kickdown mechanism

If your vehicle is equipped with a kickdown mechanism in the accelerator pedal, it prevents you from accelerating fully unintentionally, requiring the driver to apply greater force to press the accelerator pedal. However, if you press the pedal beyond approximately 80%, the vehicle may accelerate at full throttle and the accelerator pedal will be easier to depress. This is not a malfunction but a normal condition.
