~1min read

The light switch has headlamp and parking lamp positions.

To operate the lights, turn the knob on the end of the lever to one of the following positions:

(1) OFF position
(2) AUTO light position
(3) Parking and tail lamp position
(4) Headlamp position

Parking and Tail Lights

When the light switch is in the parking light position, the tail lights, license plate lights and instrument panel illumination will turn on.

Headlight position

When the light switch is in the headlight position, the headlights, tail lights and license plate lights illuminate.

✽ NOTICE

The ignition switch must be in the ON position to turn on the headlights.

AUTO Light Position

When the light switch is in the AUTO light position, the tail lights and headlights are automatically turned on or off depending on the amount of external light the light sensor receives.

CAUTION

  • Never place anything on the light sensor (1). This will interfere with the operation of the auto light control system.
  • Do not clean the sensor with window cleaner, as the cleaner may leave a thin film that can interfere with the sensor operation.
  • If your vehicle has tinted glass or other metallic coatings on the front windshield, the automatic light system may not operate correctly.
