- The transmitter will not operate in the following cases:
- The ignition key is in the ignition switch.
- You have exceeded the operating range (approximately 10 m [30 ft]).
- The transmitter battery is discharged.
- Other vehicles or objects may block the signal.
- The weather is very cold.
- The transmitter is near a radio transmitter, such as a radio station or airport, which may interfere with normal transmitter operation. - If the transmitter does not operate properly, open and close the door with the ignition key. If you have problems with the transmitter, contact an authorized Kia dealer.
- If the transmitter is in close proximity to your mobile phone, the signal may be blocked by normal operating signals from your mobile phone. This is especially important when the phone is active, such as when making or receiving calls, exchanging text messages, and/or sending or receiving e-mails. Avoid placing the transmitter and your mobile phone in the same trouser or jacket pocket, and always keep a sufficient distance between the two devices.
CAUTION - Transmitter
Keep the transmitter away from water or any other liquid, as this may damage it and cause it to malfunction.
✽ NOTICE
If the keyless entry system does not operate due to exposure to water or liquids, it is not covered by the vehicle manufacturer's warranty.
