Engine Compartment Fuse Replacement

~1min read

1. Turn the ignition key to OFF and turn off all other switches.

2. Remove the fuse panel cover by pressing the tab and pulling the cover. When the blade-type fuse is disconnected, remove it using the clip provided for fuse replacement in the engine compartment fuse box. After removal, securely insert a spare fuse of the same rating.

3. Check the removed fuse; replace it if it is blown. To remove or insert a fuse, use the fuse puller in the engine compartment fuse panel.

4. Install a new fuse of the same type and rating, and make sure it fits snugly in the clips. If it fits loosely, consult a professional workshop. Kia recommends consulting an authorized Kia Dealer/Service Partner.

CAUTION

After inspecting the fuse panel in the engine compartment, securely install the fuse panel cover until it clicks into place. Otherwise, electrical malfunctions may occur due to contact with water.

CAUTION

Do not remove the fuses, relays, and terminals that are secured with bolts or nuts. Fuses, relays, and terminals may not be fully secured, which may cause a fire.
