System Limitations
AEB is a supplementary system that assists the driver in certain dangerous driving situations and does not take over full responsibility for all risks associated with driving conditions. AEB monitors road conditions using radar. Therefore, for situations outside the detection range, AEB may not operate normally. The driver must exercise extra caution in the following situations. AEB operation may be limited.
Vehicle Recognition
- The sensor or sensor cover is contaminated with foreign substances.
- Heavy rain or snow.
- Electrical interference is present.
- Strong irregular radar reflection is present.
- The vehicle ahead has a narrow body (or is a motorcycle).
- In situations where strong radar reflection is present, AEB may not operate normally (parking lot, steel bridge, etc.).
- Special vehicles (bus, truck, construction vehicle, trailer, etc.) that are difficult for the radar to detect; AEB may not operate normally.
- The vehicle ahead is a special vehicle, such as a heavily loaded truck or trailer.
- Vehicle movement is unstable.
- Radar sensor recognition is limited.
- Driving on unpaved or uneven road surfaces, or over sudden changes in gradient.
- In construction zones or on railway crossings, tracks or metal objects on the road.
- Driving indoors, for example in an underground parking garage.
- Driving in an underground parking lot.
- Entering a tunnel or toll gate.
- Materials that easily reflect radar signals are present (guardrails, approaching vehicles, etc.).

- Driving on curves
AEB performance is reduced when driving through curves. AEB may fail to recognize a vehicle ahead even in the same lane. It may output an unnecessary warning message and warning signal, or it may not output a warning message and warning signal at all. While driving through a curve, always exercise great caution and, if necessary, depress the brake pedal.

When driving through a curve, AEB may recognize a vehicle ahead in the adjacent lane. Be very careful and, if necessary, depress the brake pedal, or depress the accelerator pedal to maintain driving speed. Always check the vehicle for your safety.

- Driving on slopes
AEB performance is reduced when driving uphill or downhill, and it may fail to recognize a vehicle ahead in the same lane. It may output an unnecessary warning message and warning signal, or it may not output a warning message and warning signal at all. When AEB suddenly recognizes a vehicle ahead while passing on a slope, you may experience sudden deceleration.
Always look ahead while driving uphill or downhill on a slope and, if necessary, press the brake pedal.

- Lane change
Even if a vehicle in the adjacent lane moves into your lane, it cannot be recognized by AEB until it enters the AEB operating range.
Especially when a vehicle in the adjacent lane suddenly moves into your lane, it may not be recognized. Always pay close attention.

When a stopped vehicle ahead moves out of the lane, it may not be recognized by your AEB. Always pay close attention.

- Vehicle Recognition
When the vehicle ahead has a heavy load loaded at the rear, or when the vehicle ahead has a high ground clearance, a dangerous situation may result.
WARNING
- Deactivate AEB in the user settings on the LCD display before towing another vehicle. While towing, applying the brake may adversely affect the safety of your vehicle.
- Exercise extreme caution with the vehicle ahead when it has a heavy load loaded at the rear, or when it has a higher ground clearance.
- The sensor detects only vehicles, not carts, bicycles, motorcycles, luggage bags, or strollers.
- AEB does not operate in certain situations. Therefore, never test AEB against a vehicle or object. This may cause serious injury or even death.
NOTICE
The system may be temporarily deactivated due to strong electrical waves.
