  2. Remove the front pillar garnish. (Refer to Interior Trim - "Front Pillar Trim")
  3. Remove the inside rear view mirror assembly. (Refer to Mirror - "Inside Rear View Mirror")
  4. Remove the hood top cover. (Refer to "Hood Top Cover")
  5. Cut the adhesive using the cutter (A).
  6. Cut the sealant at the edge (B) by pulling the piano wire (A) left and right.
  7. If the piano wire (A) is visible outside the housing, insert it back into the housing.
  8. Cut the sealant at (A-A), (B-B), and (C-C) by pulling the piano wire (A) left and right.
  9. Carefully lift the windshield (B) using the glass holder (A).

Installation

  1. Using a knife, carefully scrape off the old adhesive to a thickness of approximately 2 mm (0.0079 in) on the adhesive surface around the entire windshield opening flange:
  2. Clean the bonding surface with a sponge moistened with alcohol. After cleaning, keep the surface free of oil, grease and water.
  3. Using a sponge, apply a thin coat of body primer to the original adhesive around the windshield opening flange. Allow the body primer to dry for at least 10 minutes.
  4. Apply a thin layer of glass primer to the outer side of the fasteners.
  5. Adhesive is supplied in a cartridge without air pockets to ensure continuous delivery. Load the cartridge into a sealant gun and apply an adhesive bead (B) around the edge of the windshield (A) between the clip and the molding, as shown in the illustration. Apply the adhesive within 30 minutes after applying the glass primer. Make each bead slightly thicker at the corners.
  6. Use suction cups (A) to hold the windshield (B) above the opening, align it with the installation marks (C), and set it onto the adhesive. Lightly press the windshield until its edges are fully seated in the adhesive around the entire perimeter. Do not open or close the doors until the adhesive has dried.
  7. Install the hood upper cover. (Refer to "Upper Cover Cowl")
  8. Allow the adhesive to cure for at least one hour, then spray water on the roof and check for leaks. If a leak occurs, let it dry, then seal it with sealant:
  9. Install the inside rear view mirror assembly. (Refer to Mirror - "Inside Rear View Mirror")
  10. Install the front pillar garnish. (Refer to Interior Trim - "Front Pillar Garnish".)
  11. Install the roof side molding. (Refer to Body Moldings - "Roof Side Moldings")
