Repair Procedures

Inspection

  1. Disconnect the vapor hose from the PCV valve, then remove the PCV valve.

  2. Reconnect the PCV valve to the vapor hose.

  3. Start the engine and idle it, then place your finger on the open end of the PCV valve, and check that vacuum is felt in the intake manifold.

  4. If no vacuum is felt, clean or replace the vapor hose.
