What to Do in an Emergency

Tire Pressure Check

~1min read
Kia Soul. Checking the tire inflation pressure

1. After driving approximately 7–10 km (4–6 miles or about 10 minutes), stop in a suitable place.
2. Connect the compressor connecting hose (10) directly to the tire valve.
3. Connect the compressor and the vehicle power outlet using the cable and plugs.
4. Adjust the tire pressure to 230 kPa (33 psi). With the ignition on, proceed as follows.

- To increase the inflation pressure: Turn on the compressor to position I. To check the current inflation pressure setting, turn off the compressor briefly.

WARNING

Do not operate the compressor for more than 10 minutes, otherwise the unit may overheat and be damaged.

- To decrease the inflation pressure: Press the button (9) on the compressor.

CAUTION

If the internal pressure is not maintained, drive the vehicle a second time, see Distributing the Sealant. Then repeat steps 1 through 4. Using the TMK may be ineffective if the tire damage is larger than 4 mm (0.16 in).

We recommend that you contact an authorized Kia dealer if the tire cannot be made serviceable using the Tire Mobility Kit.

WARNING

Tire pressure must be at least 200 kPa (29 psi). If it is not, do not continue driving. Call roadside assistance or a tow truck.
