What to Do in an Emergency

Safety Notes for Using the Tire Mobility Kit

~2min read
  • Park your vehicle on the side of the road so that you can work with the TMK away from moving traffic. Place the warning triangle in a visible location to alert approaching vehicles to your location.
  • To make sure your vehicle does not move, even when parked on fairly level ground, always apply the parking brake.
  • Use the TMK only to seal and inflate passenger car tires. Do not use it on motorcycles, bicycles, or any other type of tire.
  • Do not remove any foreign objects, such as nails or screws, that have punctured the tire.
  • Before using the TMK, read the safety precautions printed on the sealant bottle.
  • If the vehicle is outdoors, keep the engine running. Otherwise, the compressor may eventually discharge the vehicle battery.
  • Never leave the TMK unattended while it is operating.
  • Do not operate the compressor for more than 10 minutes at a time, or it may overheat.
  • Do not use the TMK if the ambient temperature is below -30 °C (-22 °F).
  • If the tire and wheel are damaged, do not use the Tire Mobility Kit for your safety.
