Climate Control Air Filter

~1min read
Kia Soul. Climate control air filter

A : Outside air
B : Recirculated air
C : Climate control air filter
D : Blower fan
E : Evaporator core
F : Heater core

The climate control air filter, located behind the glove box, filters dust and other contaminants that enter the vehicle from outside through the heating and air conditioning system.

If dust or other contaminants accumulate in the filter over a period of time, the airflow from the vents may decrease, which can lead to moisture build-up on the inside of the windshield even when the fresh air mode is selected. In this case, have the cabin air filter replaced by a qualified workshop. Kia recommends visiting an authorized Kia dealer/service partner.

NOTICE

  • Replace the filter in accordance with the maintenance schedule. If the vehicle is driven under severe conditions, such as on dusty or unpaved roads, the air conditioning filters may require more frequent inspection and replacement.
  • If the airflow suddenly decreases, have the system checked at a professional workshop. Kia recommends visiting an authorized Kia dealer/service partner.
