Kia Soul. Reverse Parking Distance Warning (PDW-R) system

The Parking Distance Warning-Reverse system assists the driver when reversing by sounding a warning if an object is detected within 120 cm (47 in.) behind the vehicle.

This system is an auxiliary system and does not replace the need for the driver's utmost care and attention. The detection range and objects detectable by the rear ultrasonic sensors (➀) are limited. When reversing, pay as much attention to what is behind you as you would in a vehicle without the Parking Distance Warning-Reverse system.

WARNING

The Parking Distance Warning-Reverse system is only a supplementary feature. The operation of the Parking Distance Warning-Reverse system may be affected by several factors (including environmental conditions). It is the driver's responsibility to always check the space behind the vehicle before and while reversing.
