Sunroof

Kia Soul. Sunroof

If your vehicle is equipped with a sunroof, you can slide or tilt the sunroof using the sunroof control lever located on the overhead console.

The sunroof can be operated for approximately 10 minutes after the engine is stopped or the ignition switch is turned to the ACC or LOCK position. However, if either front door is opened, the sunroof cannot be operated even within 10 minutes.

NOTICE

  • In cold and humid climates, the sunroof may not operate properly due to freezing conditions.
  • After washing the vehicle or during rain, be sure to wipe off any water that has entered the sunroof before using it.

CAUTION

  • Do not continue to hold the sunroof switch after the sunroof is fully opened, closed, or tilted. Damage to the motor or system components may occur.
  • When leaving the vehicle, make sure the sunroof is fully closed. If the sunroof is open, rain or snow may leak through the sunroof and wet the interior, and may also lead to theft.

NOTICE

The sunroof cannot slide when it is in the tilted position, nor can it tilt when it is in the open or slid position.

WARNING

Never adjust the sunroof or sunshade while driving. This may cause loss of control and an accident resulting in death, serious injury, or property damage.

WARNING

  • To prevent accidental operation of the sunroof, especially by children, do not allow children to operate the sunroof.
  • Do not sit on the roof of the vehicle. This may cause damage to the vehicle.
