Defogging Logic

To reduce the possibility of fogging on the inside of the windshield, the air intake or air conditioning is controlled automatically according to certain conditions such asorposition. To cancel or return to the anti-fog logic, perform the following procedure.

Manual Climate Control System

1. Turn the ignition key to the ON position.

2. Turn the mode selector knob to the defrost position ( ).

3. Press the air intake control button at least 5 times within 3 seconds.

The indicator in the air intake control button will flash 3 times. This indicates that the anti-fog logic has been canceled or returned to the programmed state.

If the battery has been discharged or disconnected, the system resets to the default anti-fog logic state.

Automatic Climate Control System

1. Turn the ignition key to the ON position.

2. Select the defrost position by pressing the defrost button ( ).

3. While holding down the air conditioning (A/C) button, press the air intake control button at least 5 times within 3 seconds.

The A/C indicator will flash 3 times. This indicates that the anti-fog logic has been canceled or returned to the programmed state.

If the battery has been discharged or disconnected, the system resets to the anti-fog logic status.

Automatic Anti-Fog System (only for automatic air conditioning system, if equipped)

The automatic anti-fog system reduces the possibility of fogging on the inside of the windshield by automatically detecting humidity inside the windshield and may increase airflow toward the windshield.

The automatic anti-fog system operates when AUTO mode is on.

For Europe

If your vehicle is equipped with the automatic anti-fog system, it activates automatically when the conditions are met.

When the automatic anti-fog system detects moisture inside the windshield, the airflow to the windshield may increase. However, if you want to deactivate the automatic anti-fog system, press and hold the front defroster button for more than 3 seconds.

The "ADS OFF" symbol will appear on the climate control display, indicating that the system is deactivated.

To reactivate the automatic anti-fog system, perform the procedure above and the "ADS OFF" symbol will disappear.

If the battery has been disconnected or discharged, the system resets to the default automatic defogging system status.

Except Europe

This indicator illuminates when the automatic defogging system detects moisture inside the windshield and is operating.

If there is more moisture in the vehicle, the higher steps operate as follows.

Step 1: Air conditioning control, outside air position

Step 2: Direct the airflow to the windshield.

Step 3: Increase the airflow to the windshield.

If your vehicle is equipped with the automatic defogging system, it will activate automatically when the conditions are met. However, if you want to deactivate the automatic defogging system, press and hold the front defogger button for more than 3 seconds.

The "ADS OFF" symbol will appear on the climate control display, indicating that the system is deactivated.
