Folding the Outside Rearview Mirror

Manual Type

To fold the outside rearview mirror, grasp the mirror housing and fold it toward the rear of the vehicle.

Electric Type

To fold the outside rearview mirror, press the button (1).

To unfold it, press the button (1) again.

• With Folding and Smart Key
  - The mirror will fold or unfold when the door is locked or unlocked with the Smart Key. (if equipped)
• With Smart Key
  - The mirror will fold or unfold when the door is locked or unlocked with the button on the outside door handle. (if equipped)
  - The mirror will unfold when you approach the vehicle (all doors closed and locked) with the Smart Key. (if equipped) This function operates when "Approach Driver" is selected in the user settings in the cluster.

CAUTION

The power outside rearview mirrors operate even when the ignition switch is in the LOCK or OFF position. However, to prevent unnecessary battery discharge, do not adjust the mirrors longer than necessary when the engine is not running.

CAUTION

If this is a power-folding outside rearview mirror, do not fold it manually. This may cause the motor to fail.
