Rear Parking Distance Warning Operation

Operating Condition

• This system is activated when the rear parking distance warning indicator illuminates. The rear parking distance warning button indicator does not illuminate. If you want to turn off the Rear Parking Distance Warning system, press the rear parking distance warning button again. (The indicator on the button will illuminate.) To turn the system on, press the button again. (The indicator on the button will turn off.)
• This system is activated when reversing with the ignition switched on. If the vehicle is driven faster than 5 km/h, the system may not activate properly.
• The warning activation distance with the rear parking distance warning system operating is approximately 120 cm (47 in.).
• When more than two objects are detected at the same time, the nearest objects will be recognized first.

NOTICE

The indicator may differ from the illustration depending on the condition of objects or sensors.

If the indicator flashes, have the system inspected at a specialized workshop. Kia recommends visiting an authorized Kia dealer/service partner.
