Power Window Lock Switch

~1min read
Kia Soul. Power window lock button

The driver can disable the rear passenger door power window switches by pressing the power window lock button to the LOCK position (pressed in).

When the power window lock button is pressed:

  • The driver's main control switch panel can operate the power windows of all passengers.
  • The front passenger control switch can operate the front passenger window.
  • The rear passenger control switch cannot operate the rear passenger power window.

CAUTION

  • To avoid possible damage to the power window system, do not open or close two or more windows at the same time. This also helps ensure the longevity of the fuse.
  • Never try to operate the driver's master switch and a separate window switch in opposite directions at the same time. If this is done, the window will stop and cannot be opened or closed.

WARNING

Windows

  • NEVER leave the key in the vehicle with children unattended while the engine is running.
  • NEVER leave children unattended in the vehicle. Even very young children may unintentionally cause the vehicle to move, become entangled in the windows, or otherwise injure themselves or others.
  • Always check twice that all hands, fingers, head and other obstructions are clear before closing the window.
  • Do not allow children to play with the power windows. Keep the driver's power window lock button in the LOCK position (pressed in). Serious injury may result from unintentional operation of the window by a child.
  • Do not put your head or arms out of the window while the vehicle is moving.
