Operation of the Keyless Remote Entry System

Lock (1)

All doors lock if the lock button is pressed when all doors are closed. The hazard warning lights will flash once to indicate that all doors are locked.

However, if any door, the hood or the tailgate is left open, the hazard warning lights will not operate. If all doors, the hood and the tailgate are closed after the lock button is pressed, the hazard warning lights will flash once.

Unlock (2)

All doors unlock when the unlock button is pressed.

The hazard warning lights flash twice to indicate that all doors are unlocked.

After this button is pressed, the doors will automatically lock again if you do not open any door within 30 seconds.

Tailgate Unlock Button (3) (if equipped)

The tailgate unlocks when the button is pressed for more than 1 second.

The hazard warning lights will flash twice to indicate that the liftgate is unlocked.

However, after this button is pressed, the tailgate will automatically lock again if you do not open the tailgate within 30 seconds.

In addition, once the tailgate is opened and then closed, the tailgate will automatically lock.

When the tailgate is locked and the smart key is with you, press the tailgate open switch. After this, the tailgate will open.
