Bluetooth Audio (Type A/Type B)

~1min read

Required Bluetooth Specification (Recommended)

Version 2.0

Supported Profiles

  • A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) version 1.0/1.2
  • AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile) version 1.0/1.3

A2DP is a profile that transmits only the audio signal to the Bluetooth system.

If your Bluetooth audio device supports only the A2DP profile and not the AVRCP profile, you will not be able to control the device using the audio system controls.

In this case, operation is possible only on the mobile device, in the same way as when a portable audio device without Bluetooth is connected to the AUX jack.

CAUTION

  • While connected via Bluetooth, the battery consumption of Bluetooth audio devices is higher than usual.

  • If you connect a mobile phone via USB while playing music from a connected Bluetooth device, the Bluetooth connection is interrupted. This means it is not possible to play music from a Bluetooth audio device and from a device connected to the USB port in the vehicle at the same time.

  • Depending on the Bluetooth audio device, the system may not operate correctly.
