PRELIMINARY CHECKS

Before checking or adjusting the wheel alignment angles, check the following points:

  • tires: conformity, inflation pressure and condition.
  • wheels: runout, rough alignment (visual).
  • joints: condition, tightness.
  • steering universal joints: condition, tightness.
  • suspension: shock absorber condition, ride height.
  • hubs: wheel bearing play.
  • steering rack centered at its zero point.

If faults are found during these checks, correct them before carrying out any adjustment work.

GEOMETRY VALUES

FRONT TOE (ADJUSTABLE)

Toe-in: 0' 12' ± 10'.

REAR TOE (NON-ADJUSTABLE)

Rear axle ride height Rear axle total toe
(in ') (in mm)
9,1 61,70 - 0' 13 '
8,3 55,96 - 0' 10 '
7,5 50,22 - 0' 07 '
6,7 44,48 - 0' 04 '
5,9 38,74 - 0' 01 '
5,1 33,00 0' 01'
4,3 27,26 0' 04'
3,5 21,52 0' 07'
2,7 15,78 0' 09'
1,9 10,04 0' 11'
1,1 4,30 0' 14'
0,3 - 1,43 0' 16'

Total toe tolerance: 12' / -8'.

Partial toe tolerance: 6' / -4'.

Ride height values are displayed in decimal degrees (') by the electronic ride height measuring device.

Measuring the toe value

Measure the rear axle ride height, then read the corresponding toe value from the table.

Example: rear axle ride height (3.5') = toe of 0' 07'.

FRONT CAMBER (ADJUSTABLE)

Carrossage AV (réglable)

Camber tolerance: ± 20'.

Maximum camber difference between right and left sides: 0' 20'.

Ride height values are displayed in decimal degrees (') by the electronic ride height measuring device.

Measuring the camber value

Measure the front axle ride height, then read the corresponding camber value from the table.

Example: front axle ride height (2.9') = camber of -0' 42'.

REAR CAMBER (NON-ADJUSTABLE)

Camber: -1' 30' ± 30'.

FRONT CASTER (ADJUSTABLE)

Caster tolerance: ± 30'.

Permissible caster difference between right and left sides: 0' 30'.

Ride height values are displayed in decimal degrees (') by the electronic ride height measuring device.

Measuring the caster value

Measure the front and rear axle ride heights, then read the corresponding caster value from the table.

Example: front axle ride height (2.9') and rear axle ride height (3.5') = caster of 3' 25'.
