Replacing a Xenon Headlight Bulb (if equipped)
WARNING
HIGH VOLTAGE
Illuminated xenon headlights generate high voltage. Never attempt to modify or disassemble them, as you could receive an electric shock.
Always have xenon headlight bulbs replaced by a NISSAN dealer. For more information, see the "Headlight and Turn Signal Switch" section in the "Controls and Instruments" chapter.
Replacing a Halogen Headlight Bulb (if equipped)
If bulb replacement is necessary, consult your NISSAN dealer.
WARNING
- Headlight aim adjustment is not required after replacing the bulb. If headlight aim adjustment is necessary, contact a NISSAN dealer.
- Do not leave a headlight without a bulb for an extended period. Dust, moisture, and smoke could enter the headlight housing and reduce headlight performance. Remove the bulb from the headlight only when you are ready to install a new bulb.
- Handle the bulb by its base only. Never touch the glass envelope. Touching the glass can significantly shorten bulb life or reduce headlight performance.
- The halogen bulb contains halogen gas under high pressure. The bulb may shatter if dropped or if its glass envelope is scratched.
- Use the same number and wattage as those listed in the chart.
Condensation may temporarily form on the inside of the exterior light lenses in rainy weather or after going through a car wash.
The condensation is caused by the temperature difference between the inner and outer surfaces of the lens. This condition is normal. If you notice water collecting inside the lens, contact a NISSAN dealer.
