The controls

Les commandes

  1. Air temperature adjustment.
  2. Adjusting the fan speed.
  3. Air conditioning.
  4. Air distribution in the passenger compartment.
  5. Defrosting/demisting of the rear window and, depending on vehicle, the mirrors.
  6. Air recirculation.

Switching the air conditioning on or off

(Depending on vehicle) Button 3 switches the air conditioning on (indicator lit) or off (indicator off).

Air conditioning cannot be switched on if control 2 is set to OFF.

Using the air conditioning:

  • lowers the temperature inside the passenger compartment;
  • clears condensation more quickly.

Air distribution in the passenger compartment

There are five air distribution settings. Turn control 4 to select the distribution you want.

The airflow is directed to the
windshield demisting strips and the front side window demisters.

The airflow is distributed between
all vents, the front side window demisters, the windshield demisting strips and the footwell vents.

The airflow is mainly
directed to the footwell vents.

The airflow is directed to the
dashboard vents, to the front occupants' footwells and, depending on vehicle, to the footwells of second-row occupants.

The airflow is directed to the
dashboard vents.

Activating air recirculation

Mise en service du recyclage d'air

Press button 6: the built-in indicator lights up. In this mode, air is taken from the passenger compartment and recirculated without outside air entering.

Air recirculation:

  • isolates the cabin from outside air (driving in polluted areas...);
  • cools the passenger compartment more quickly.

Prolonged use of air recirculation may cause condensation to form on the side windows and windshield, and discomfort due to non-renewed air in the passenger compartment. It is therefore advisable to return to normal operation (outside air) by pressing button 6 again as soon as air recirculation is no longer needed.

Adjusting the fan speed

Réglage de la vitesse de ventilation

Turn control 2. The further to the right the control is set, the greater the volume of air delivered. To stop the airflow, set control 2 to "OFF".

The system is off: the fan speed is zero (vehicle stopped). You may feel a slight airflow when the vehicle is moving.

Quick demisting

Set controls 1, 2 and 4 to the following positions :

  • outside air;
  • maximum temperature;
  • demisting.

Using the settings
andprevents air recirculation from being activated to avoid any risk of fogging on the windshield, and switches on the air conditioning. The indicator built into button 3 does not light up.

Air temperature adjustment

Turn control 1 to the desired temperature. The further the slider is towards red, the higher the temperature.

During prolonged use of the air conditioning, a feeling of cold may occur. To increase the temperature, turn control 1 to the right.

Rear window defrost/demist

With the engine running, press button 5. The operating indicator lights up.

This function provides quick electric demisting of the rear window and heated electric mirrors (for vehicles so equipped).

To exit this function, press button 5 again.

Otherwise, demisting stops automatically.
