Towing: emergency procedure

Before towing, unlock the steering column: with your foot on the clutch pedal, engage first gear (lever in N or R on vehicles with automatic transmission), insert the RENAULT card into the reader, then press the engine start button for two seconds.

Return the lever to the neutral position (position N on vehicles with automatic transmission).

The steering column is unlocked and the additional functions are active: the vehicle lights (turn indicators, brake lights...) can be switched on. When driving at night, the vehicle must be lit.

After towing, press the engine start button twice (risk of battery discharge).

During towing, do not remove the RENAULT card from the reader.

Observe the applicable towing regulations.

If your vehicle is the towing vehicle, do not exceed the maximum towed mass permitted for your vehicle (see the "Weights" section in chapter 6).
