Securing with the seat belt

~1min read

The table below contains the same information as the diagram on the following pages, allowing compliance with applicable regulations.

Mocowanie za pomocą pasa bezpieczeństwa

(1) RISK OF DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY: before installing a child seat on the front passenger seat, make sure the front passenger airbag is correctly deactivated (see the "Child safety: deactivating and activating the front passenger airbag" section in Chapter 1).

X = Position where installation of this type of child seat is prohibited.

U = Position where installation of a commercially available child seat approved as "Universal" using the seat belt is permitted; check that it can be installed.

(2) Set the seat to its furthest rearward and highest position, then tilt the backrest slightly (approx. 25°).

(3) The carrycot is installed across the direction of travel and occupies at least two seating positions. Lay the child so that the head is on the side opposite the door.

(4) Move the vehicle front seat fully forward to install the child seat facing rearward, then move it fully rearward, but so that it does not touch the child seat.

(5) For a child seat installed facing forward, adjust the child seat backrest so that it contacts the vehicle backrest. Adjust the head restraint height or remove it if necessary. Do not move the front seat beyond the middle position of its rails and do not tilt the backrest at too great an angle (maximum 25°).

(6) Make sure the child seat or the child's legs do not prevent the front seat from locking. See the "Front seat" section in Chapter 1.
