Seat belts
For your safety, wear your seat belt on every journey. You must also comply with the local legislation of the country in which you are travelling.
For the rear seat belts to be fully effective, make sure the rear seat is locked in place.Refer to the "rear bench seat: features" section, chapter 3.
Seat belts that are improperly adjusted or twisted may cause injury in an accident.Use a seat belt for one person only, child or adult.
Pregnant women must also wear their seat belt. In this case, make sure the lap belt does not exert excessive pressure on the lower abdomen, and that no additional slack is created.
Before driving, first adjust your driving position, then adjust the seat belt for all occupants to ensure the best protection.
Adjusting the driving position
- Sit well back in your seat (after removing your coat, jacket, etc.). This is essential for correct back positioning;
- adjust the seat fore/aft position according to the pedals. Your seat must be moved back as far as possible while still allowing the clutch pedal to be fully depressed. The backrest must be adjusted so that your arms remain slightly bent;
- adjust your headrest position.
For maximum safety, the distance between your head and the head restraint must be minimal;
- adjust the seat height. This adjustment optimises your view of the road;
- adjust the steering wheel position.

Seat belt fitting
sit firmly back against the seatback.
The shoulder belt 1 must be positioned as close as possible to the base of the neck, without resting on it.
The lap belt 2 must lie flat across the thighs and against the pelvis.
The belt must lie as directly as possible across the body. For example: avoid thick clothing, interposed objects, etc.

Latching
Pull the webbing out slowly and smoothly and make sure the latch tongue 3 engages in the buckle 4 (check that it is locked by pulling on latch tongue 3). If the webbing locks, pull it back slightly and extend it again.
If your belt is completely locked, pull the belt slowly but firmly to extract about 3 cm.
Let it retract on its own, then unroll it again.
If the problem persists, consult a brand representative.
Front seat belt unfastened warning light
It comes on in the central display when the engine starts, then, if the driver's or front passenger's belt (when the seat is occupied) is not fastened and the vehicle reaches approximately 20 km/h, it flashes and a warning chime sounds for about 2 minutes.
Note: an object placed on the front passenger seat may in some cases trigger the warning light.
Rear seat belt unfastened warning (depending on vehicle)
the warning light
comes on in the central display, with a message on the instrument panel showing the number of fastened belts, for about 30 seconds each time:
- vehicle start-up;
- a door is opened;
- a rear seat belt is fastened or unfastened.
Make sure rear passengers are properly belted and that the number of belted seats shown matches the number of occupied seats on the rear bench.

Front seat belt height adjustment (depending on vehicle)
Use button 5 to adjust the belt height so that the shoulder strap 1 runs as described previously:
- to lower the belt, press button 5 and lower the belt at the same time;
- to raise the belt, press button 5 and raise the belt at the same time.
Once adjusted, make sure it is securely locked.
Unlatching
Press button 6; the belt is retracted by the retractor. Guide it back.
Note: while driving, if a rear seat belt is unfastened, the message "rear seat belt unfastened" appears on the instrument panel.
The following information applies to the front and rear seat belts of the vehicle.

- No modifications must be made to the original restraint system components: belts and seats, as well as their mountings.
