Lights-left-on audible warning
When a door is opened, an audible alarm sounds to warn you that the lights have been left on while the ignition is switched off.
Card left in vehicle warning
When the driver's door is opened, if the card is still in the reader, the message "remove card" appears on the instrument panel, accompanied by a beep.
Unclosed opening alarm
If a opening (door or boot) is open or not properly closed, as soon as the vehicle reaches approximately 10 km/h, the message "boot open" or "door open" (depending on the opening) appears on the instrument panel, accompanied by a warning light.
Special feature
After the engine is switched off, the lights and accessories in operation (radio, etc.) continue to operate.
They switch off as soon as the driver's door is opened.
For safety reasons, opening and closing operations must only be carried out with the vehicle stationary.
Child safety
Vehicle with switch 1
Press switch 1 to enable opening of the rear doors.
If the vehicle is fitted with electric rear windows, this action also allows them to operate.
The built-in indicator light on the switch comes on to show that the doors are locked.
Note: if the system fails, the message "child safety to be checked" is displayed on the instrument panel: consult a Brand Representative.
Rear occupant safetyThe driver can enable operation of the rear doors and, depending on the vehicle, the power windows by pressing switch 1 on the side shown in the illustration.
Depending on the vehicle, in case of failure:
- a beep sounds;
- a message appears on the instrument panel;
- the built-in indicator light does not come on.
After disconnecting the battery, you must press switch 1 on the side shown in the illustration to lock the rear doors.

Vehicle with manual door locking
To make it impossible to open the rear doors from the inside, move lever 2 and check from inside that the doors are locked.
Driver's responsibility when parking or stopping the vehicleNever leave your vehicle with a child, a dependent adult or an animal inside, even for a short time.
Indeed, they could put themselves or others in danger, for example by starting the engine, operating equipment such as the window controls, or locking the doors.
In addition, in hot and/or sunny weather, be aware that the temperature inside the passenger compartment rises very quickly.
RISK OF DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY.
Locking/unlocking the doors from outside
This is done using the RENAULT card: refer to the "RENAULT cards" sections in chapter 1.
In some cases, the RENAULT card may not work:
- wear of the RENAULT card battery, discharged vehicle battery...
- use of devices operating on the same frequency as the card (mobile phone, etc.);
- vehicle located in an area with strong electromagnetic radiation.
In this case, it is possible to:
- using the key built into the card to unlock the front left door;
- lock each of the doors manually;
- using the door locking/unlocking control from inside (refer to the following pages).

Using the key built into the RENAULT card
- Remove cover A from the left door (using the tip of key 2) at notch 1;
- pull cover A upwards to remove it;
- insert key 2 into the lock and lock or unlock the front left door.

Manual locking of the doors
With the door open, turn screw 3 (using the tip of the key) and close the door.
It is now locked from outside.
It can then only be opened from inside the vehicle or using the key for the front left door.
Locking/unlocking control from inside: switch 4 simultaneously controls the doors, the boot and, depending on the vehicle, the fuel filler flap.
If an opening (door or boot) is open or not properly closed, the openings lock/unlock quickly.
When carrying an object with the boot open, you can still lock the other openings: with the engine off, press and hold switch 4 for more than five seconds to lock the other openings.
Locking the openings without the RENAULT card: for example, in the event of a flat card battery, or a temporary malfunction of the RENAULT card...
With the engine off and one opening (door or boot) open, press and hold button 4 for more than five seconds.
When the door is closed, all openings will be locked.
Unlocking from outside the vehicle is only possible with the RENAULT card located in the vehicle access zone, or using the key built into the RENAULT card.
Interior locking/unlocking control
Switch 4 controls the doors, the boot and, depending on the vehicle, the fuel filler flap simultaneously.
If an opening (door or boot) is open or not properly closed, the openings lock/unlock quickly.
When carrying an object with the boot open, you can still lock the other openings: with the engine off, press and hold switch 4 for more than five seconds to lock the other openings.
Locking the openings without the RENAULT card
For example, a flat battery, a temporary malfunction of the RENAULT card...
With the engine off and one opening (door or boot) open, press and hold button 4 for more than five seconds.
When the door is closed, all openings will be locked.
Unlocking from the outside of the vehicle is only possible with the RENAULT card located in the vehicle access zone, or using the key integrated in the RENAULT card.
After locking/unlocking the vehicle or the boot alone using the buttons on the RENAULT card, walk-away locking and hands-free unlocking are deactivated.To restore hands-free operation: restart the vehicle.
Openings locking status indicator light
With the ignition on, the indicator integrated in switch 4 shows the locking status of the openings:
- indicator on: openings locked;
- indicator off: openings unlocked.
When you lock the doors, the indicator light stays on, then goes out.
Never leave your vehicle with a RENAULT card inside.
If you decide to drive with the doors locked, be aware that this may make it more difficult for rescuers to access the passenger compartment in an emergency.Test yourself
