Any operation on a xenon headlamp, on a sensor or on a suspension component requires an initialisation followed by adjustment of the headlamps.
- Place the vehicle on a flat, level surface.
- Inflate the tyres to the correct pressure.
- Open the bonnet.
- Make sure the luggage compartment is empty.
- Do not apply the parking brake.
- Do not get into the vehicle while the operation is in progress.
ADJUSTMENT
- Switch on the dipped beam headlamps.
- Connect the diagnostic tool.
- On the diagnostic tool, select the "discharge lamp" system of one of the headlamps (left or right).
- Check that there are no faults.
- Select command CF001 "Calibrate control unit".
- Exit diagnostic mode.
- Switch off the dipped beam headlamps (the control unit validates the initialisation).
- Repeat the procedure for the other headlamp.

- Switch the dipped beam headlamps back on.
- Place a headlamp aimer set to -1.3 % (value marked on the headlamp) in front of the vehicle.
- Adjust the headlamps using access point (1).
The initialisation may fail:
- when the control module(s) configured in the headlamp(s) are not located (addressing),
- when the vehicle speed is not zero,
- when there is a sensor fault (no signal or inconsistent signal),
- when there is no configuration in the control module (vehicle type: K, L, E...).
