IMPORTANT

- Never switch on a bulb that is not installed in its headlamp (danger to eyes).
- Xenon bulbs operate at 20000 V on ignition, then at 85 V AC in operation.
- Wait for the control unit and ballast assemblies to cool down before removal.
- Always disconnect the battery before any work.
To replace a xenon lamp, it is preferable to remove the headlamp.
REMOVAL

- Release the retaining clip (1).
- Remove the sealing cover.

- Remove the high-voltage box (2) by turning it one eighth of a turn anticlockwise.
- Unclip the retaining lock securing the lamp.
The actuator (3) (stepper motor) cannot be removed from the headlamp.
If the actuator fails, replace the headlamp.
INSTALLATION
- Hold the lamp by its base (do not touch the bulb with your fingers; if you do, clean the bulb with alcohol and a soft, lint-free cloth).

- Position:
- the lamp (the lug must be opposite the headlamp groove),
- the lamp retaining lock,
- the high-voltage box,
- the power supply connector.
- Always perform an initialisation of the xenon lamp system (Chapter Xenon Lamps, Xenon Headlamps: Adjustment, page 80C-14) and adjust the headlamps.
- Use only approved D2S lamps.
