Security Alarm Status [B/A Status]
B/A Status Description
DISARM
  1. In the "DISARM" state, there is no vehicle start prohibition. Therefore, when a door, hood or trunk lid is opened, there is no alarm sound and no flashing.
  2. If the battery is disconnected when the state is not "ARM/ARMWAIT/ALARM/REARM", the B/A state is set to "DISARM".
  3. In the "DISARM" state, the security indicator continues to flash.
PREPARATION
  1. In the "ARMWAIT" state, when the "30 sec." timer is running, if this timer reaches 30 seconds, the state changes to the "ARM" state.
  2. If the battery is disconnected in the "ARMWAIT" state, the B/A state is set to "ARMWAIT" and the "30 sec" timer is restarted.
  3. In the "ARMWAIT" state, the security indicator remains lit.

? Note: In the Smart Key system, this operates in the same way as passive locking.
B/A Status Description
AUTO LOCK TIMER 1
  1. In the "AUTOLOCKTIMER1" state, the "30 sec." timer runs. If this timer expires, the auto lock "Lock Command" is generated.
  2. When the "Lock Command" is activated, all doors lock and close, then the B/A state changes "AUTOLOCKTIMER1" to "ARMWAIT".
  3. In the "AUTOLOCKTIMER1" state, the security indicator continues to flash. In the "AUTOLOCKTIMER1" state, the "30 sec." timer runs. If this timer expires, the auto lock "Lock Command" is generated. When the "Lock Command" is activated, all doors lock and close, and then the B/A state changes "AUTOLOCKTIMER1" to "ARMWAIT".

Note: In the Smart Key system, this operates the same way as passive unlocking.
B/A Status Description
AUTO LOCK TIMER 2
  1. In the "AUTOLOCKTIMER2" state, while the "30 sec" timer is running, if this timer expires, the automatic lock command "Lock Command" is generated.
  2. When all doors are locked, the hood is closed and the trunk lid is closed and the "Lock Command" is executed, the B/A state changes to "AUTOLOCKTIMER2". When the "Lock Command" is generated with the hood open.
  3. When the "Unlock Command" is executed while all doors are closed and the hood is open, the B/A state changes to "AUTOLOCKTIMER2".
  4. In the "AUTOLOCKTIMER2" state, the security indicator continues to flash.

Note: In the Smart Key system, this operates the same way as passive unlocking.
B/A Status Description
PREARM
  1. The "PREARM" state occurs when the user attempts to arm the system but a precondition is not met (a door, trunk or hood is open).
  2. The B/A state changes to "PREARM" when the TX Lock command is received while any door, hood, or trunk lid is open.
  3. The B/A state changes to "PREARM" when the "30 sec" timer expires in "AUTOLOCKTIMER2" with the hood or trunk lid open.
  4. The "PREARM" state changes to "ARM" when all doors are closed and locked, and the hood and trunk lid are closed.
  5. The "PREARM" state changes to "DISARM" when any door is unlocked.
  6. In this state, the security indicator continues to flash.

B/A Status Description
RE ARM
  1. In the "REARM" state, if an intrusion into the vehicle is detected, the flashing and sound restart, and the state changes to the "ALARM" state again.
  2. The B/A state changes to "REARM" after the "27 sec." timer expires in the "ALARM" state, when all doors are closed and locked.
  3. The security indicator continues to flash.

B/A Status Description
AUTO LOCK TIMER 3
  1. The B/A state changes to "AUTOLOCKTIMER3" when the TX Tailgate command is executed.
  2. The B/A condition changes "AUTOLOCKTIMER3" to "ARMWAIT" when the "30 sec." timer expires, when all doors are locked and closed.
  3. The B/A state changes from "AUTOLOCKTIMER3" to "DISARM" when any door is opened.
  4. In the "AUTOLOCKTIMER3" state, the "30 sec." timer runs. If this timer expires, the state changes to "PREARM" with the rear door open.
  5. In this state, the security indicator continues to flash.

B/A Status Description
ARM HOLD
(Alarm Hold: Trunk)
?Non-PTL Version
  1. The ARM HOLD mode is similar to the trunk alarm hold mode of modern vehicles.
  2. If the trunk is opened with the remote transmitter (including the smart key) while in ARM mode, the HOLD mode will be activated, in which the alarm holds the trunk.
  3. While the trunk is open, ARM HOLD mode continues.
  4. When the trunk is closed, a 30-second timer is activated. Since ARM HOLD mode is enabled for 30 seconds, the alarm does not trigger even if the trunk is open.
  5. ARM mode is activated 30 seconds after the trunk is closed.
  6. Even in ARM HOLD mode, the doors and hood are in ARM mode. Normally, they trigger the alarm when theft occurs.
  7. The security indicator continues to flash during ARM HOLD time.

Note 1: ARM HOLD is a function that keeps the ARM mode on the connecting line. It keeps the ARM mode for the door and hood. Note 2: When the ignition key is used to open the trunk, the ARM HOLD function operates in the same way, provided that the "Key Door" Security Alarm function is enabled. Key-based ARM HOLD is off, and using the key to open the trunk is detected as theft and the alarm is triggered.
B/A Status Description
RE ARM
(ARM mode re-enabled)
  1. If the doors, hood and trunk are closed after exiting ALARM mode, this means that ARM mode has been re-enabled.
  2. During this time, the state of the actuators (door locking/unlocking) is disregarded, and ARM mode is maintained until a remote control signal is received (normal ARM mode).
  3. In this mode, the security indicator continues to flash.
RESET
  1. When the battery is disconnected in ALARM or RE ARM mode, RESET mode is activated.
  2. When the battery is connected after RESET, the theft alarm operation resumes (instead of the remaining output, the output is 27 seconds ON / 10 seconds OFF, three times).

B/A Status Description
KEY ON 30-second deactivation
(non-smart key version)
  1. For non-smart vehicles, the 30-second standby with the ignition key ON in ALARM mode deactivates the security alarm status.
  2. Even before 30 seconds have passed, if the engine starts (generator "L" terminal voltage HI: transmitted from the cluster module via CAN data), the theft alarm is immediately deactivated. Note: The immobilizer system is applied by default, and engine starting with a registered immobilizer key is allowed, although during alarm.) In vehicles with a smart key, the alarm is deactivated immediately after smart key authentication.
When ARM mode is enabled, opening the trunk and central door unlocking are not allowed.
  1. From the moment the remote transmitter or smart key-based all-door locks are activated and ARM WAIT mode is enabled, the central door unlock switch, the internal trunk unlock switch, or the DDM & ADM (driver's seat power window switch and passenger seat power window switch) are disabled. (Theft prevention) This function works the same in ARM WAIT, ARM, ALARM and RE ARM modes.
