What to Do in an Emergency

Distributing the Sealant

~1min read

11. Drive immediately approximately 4–6 miles (7–10 km, or about 10 minutes) to evenly distribute the sealant in the tire.

Do not exceed a speed of 80 km/h. If possible, do not drive below 12 mph (20 km/h).

If you experience unusual vibration, handling changes, or noise while driving, reduce speed and drive carefully until you can safely pull off the road.

Call roadside assistance or a towing service.

When using the Tire Mobility Kit, the tire pressure sensors and wheel may be damaged by the sealant. Have them inspected by an authorized dealer.

Tire Pressure Check

1. After driving approximately 4-6 miles (7-10 km, or about 10 minutes), stop in a safe place.

2. Connect the compressor hose (9) directly to the tire valve.

3. Insert the compressor power cord into the vehicle power outlet.

4. Adjust the tire pressure to the recommended value.

With the ignition on, proceed as follows.

- To increase tire pressure:

Turn on the compressor and set it to the [I] position. To check the current inflation pressure setting, briefly turn off the compressor.

- To decrease tire pressure:

Loosen the screw-on cap (8) on the compressor hose.

Information

The gauge may show a reading higher than the actual pressure while the compressor is running. To obtain an accurate tire pressure, the compressor must be turned off.

CAUTION

When using the Tire Mobility Kit containing sealant not approved by HYUNDAI, the tire pressure sensors may be damaged by the sealant. Sealant on the tire pressure sensor and wheel must be removed when replacing the tire with a new one, and the tire pressure sensors should be checked at an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
