Changing LKAS Function

~1min read

The driver can change LKAS to Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) or LKAS. Between standard LKA and active LKA in User Settings mode, the LCD display shows the selected setting.

LDWS warns the driver with a visual and audible warning when the system detects that the vehicle is leaving the lane. In this mode, the steering wheel is not controlled. When the front tire of the vehicle touches the inner edge of the lane marking, LKAS issues a lane departure warning.

Standard LKA

The standard LKA mode helps the driver keep the vehicle within the driving lane. It rarely controls the steering wheel when the vehicle is traveling well within the lane. However, it begins to control the steering wheel when the vehicle is about to drift off course, such as on narrow lanes.

Active LKA

Active LKA mode provides more frequent steering wheel control compared to the standard LKA mode. Active LKA can reduce driver fatigue by assisting steering to keep the vehicle in the center of the lane.
