- The driving mode automatically changes to ECO mode after a certain period of time when you depress the accelerator pedal smoothly (your driving is considered to be gentle).
- The driving mode automatically changes from SMART ECO mode to SMART NORMAL mode after a certain period of time when you depress the accelerator pedal abruptly or repeatedly.
- The driving mode automatically changes to SMART NORMAL mode with the same driving pattern when the vehicle starts driving up a slope of a certain angle. The driving mode automatically returns to SMART ECO mode when the vehicle returns to a level road.
- The drive mode automatically changes to SMART SPORT when you accelerate the vehicle rapidly or steer the steering wheel several times (your driving is classified as sporty). In this mode, your vehicle shifts to a lower gear for rapid acceleration/deceleration and increases engine braking efficiency.
- You may still feel engine braking when you release the accelerator pedal in SMART SPORT mode. This is because your vehicle remains in a lower gear for a certain period of time for the next acceleration. Therefore, this is a normal driving situation and does not indicate a malfunction.
- The driving mode automatically changes to SMART SPORT mode only in severe driving conditions. In most normal driving conditions, the driving mode is set to either SMART ECO mode or SMART NORMAL mode.
