Air conditioning

If the vehicle is equipped with air conditioning, there is a button marked "A/C" below the fan lever. It has three positions: "A/C" (after the first press), "ECO" (after the second press) and "OFF" (switched off, after the third press). "A/C" provides maximum cooling, and "ECO" provides economy cooling.
Air conditioning can be used to cool and dehumidify the air, as described below. To switch on the air conditioning, press the button to the A/C (or ECO) position and move the fan lever to a position other than "OFF". The indicator lamp will light when the air conditioning is switched on.
To switch off the air conditioning, press the button to the OFF position.
While the air conditioning is operating, slight changes in engine speed may be noticed.
These changes are normal, as the air conditioning system is designed so that the compressor switches on and off to maintain the desired temperature.
The shorter the compressor runs, the lower the fuel consumption.
Using the system: Normal cooling (using outside air)
Press the A/C or ECO button, set the function outlet lever to "vent" and the intake lever to "outside air." Adjust the temperature and fan speed to your preference using the respective levers. Selecting a higher fan speed increases the cooling intensity.
Rapid cooling (recirculation)
Set the levers the same way as for normal cooling, but move the air outlet lever to the "Recirculation" position.
If this mode is used for a long time, the air will become polluted.
Therefore, to ventilate the cabin, switch the lever to outside air intake from time to time.
NOTE: If the vehicle has been left in the sun with the windows closed, it will cool down faster if you briefly open the windows while the air conditioner is running in outside air mode at high fan speed.
Air dehumidification
Press the A/C button, set the function selector lever as desired, set the intake lever to "outside air," and adjust the air temperature and fan speed using the respective levers.
NOTE: Because the air conditioner removes moisture from the air, turning it on helps keep the windows clear, even when blowing heated air using the "defrost" and "defrost/heat" positions.
