Front towing eye

Only fit the front towing eye when necessary.

A threaded connection is located under the front bumper, on the right side, for fastening the towing eye. The threaded connection is behind a protective cap.

• Remove the towing eye from the vehicle tool kit.
• To remove the protective cap on the bumper, press on the lower edge of the cap, Fig. 252.
• Screw the towing eye into the thread => Fig. 253 as far as it will go, and tighten fully with the wheel bolt wrench.

After each use, unscrew the towing eye and store it in the tool kit. The towing eye must always be kept in the vehicle.

CAUTION!

If the towing eye is not screwed in as far as it will go, the threaded connection may be torn out during towing - risk of accident!

Rear towing eye

The rear towing eye is welded on the right side, under the bumper.
