Good visibility increases road safety.

Never use insect remover or wax to clean the windows, as these products can impair the function of the wiper blades (chattering).

Residues of rubber, oil, grease or silicone can be removed with a glass cleaner or a silicone remover. Wax residues, however, can only be removed with a special cleaner. For further information, contact your Audi workshop.

Also clean the inside of the windows at regular intervals.

Use a chamois leather or a cloth reserved exclusively for this purpose to dry the windows. A chamois used on painted surfaces contains residues of protective product.

CAUTION!

Do not treat the windscreen with water-repellent glass treatment products. When visibility is poor in rain, in darkness or when the sun is low on the horizon, for example, glare can be even stronger - risk of accident! In addition, the wiper blades may chatter.

Warning!

• Remove snow and frost from the windows and exterior mirrors with a plastic ice scraper. To avoid scratches caused by dirt, push the scraper in one direction only; do not move it back and forth.
• The defroster wires are located on the inside of the rear window. To avoid damaging them, do not affix any stickers to the inside of the heated wires.
• Do not remove snow or frost from the windows and mirrors with hot water, otherwise the glass could crack!
