Electric power steering

If the vehicle is equipped with electric power steering, power steering fluid is not used.

Hydraulic power steering

The power steering fluid level must be between the MIN and MAX marks.

If necessary, add the correct amount of coolant.

Caution Even very small amounts of contamination may damage the steering system and prevent it from working properly. Do not let contaminants contact the inside of the reservoir cap or the dipstick part that contacts the fluid, and take care that they do not enter the reservoir. Caution Do not drive the vehicle with insufficient power steering fluid.

This may damage the power steering system, which results in costly repairs.

Warning Spilled fluid may ignite or discolor the paint. Do not overfill the reservoir.

An engine fire may cause injury and damage to the vehicle and property.
