Warning Brake fluid is poisonous and corrosive. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, fabrics, and painted surfaces.
The brake fluid level must be between the MIN and MAX marks.
When adding brake fluid, keep it clean, since any contamination may cause the brake system to fail. Have the cause of brake fluid loss corrected by a dealer.
Use only brake fluid designed for this vehicle model; brake and clutch fluid.
Caution Thoroughly clean the area around the brake fluid reservoir cap before removing it. Contaminated brake fluid may reduce system performance and require costly repairs. Brake fluid spilled on the engine may ignite. Do not overfill the reservoir.
An engine fire may cause injury and damage to the vehicle and property.
Caution Do not dispose of used brake fluid with household waste. Use a local waste disposal service. Used brake fluid and its container are hazardous to people and the environment. Brake fluid may cause skin and eye irritation. Do not let brake fluid contact your skin or eyes.
If contact does occur, wash the affected area thoroughly with water and soap or hand cleaner.
