Faulty bulb detection
In this manual: Exterior lighting / signalling
~1min read
This function doubles the flashing frequency of the turn signals (left or right) if at least one faulty bulb is detected.
Detection is performed while the turn signals are operating, by reading the turn signal control current.
If the current drawn by the BSI is lower than the programmed current, operation is normal. Otherwise, the flashing frequency is doubled.
Any operating fault is recorded by the BSI so that it can be read by the diagnostic tool.
Note: When a towing bracket is fitted, 2 faulty bulbs are required for detection.
