1 Driver action on the hazard warning switch.
2 The instrument cluster acquires the status of the hazard warning switch.

The hazard warning switch status is sent to the BSI via the VAN CONFORT network. 3 Turn indicator control by the BSI The BSI controls the turn indicator warning light on the instrument cluster via the VAN CONFORT network.

The BSI controls the hazard switch indicator LED in the instrument cluster via the VAN CONFORT network. The BSI controls the buzzer via the VAN CAR 1 network.

Note: In economy mode, the BSI does not control the hazard switch indicator LED or the buzzer operation in the steering column switch module.
