Usage recommendations

The Engine Interface Module (BSM) is an electronic product and cannot withstand shocks without damage. Any module that has been dropped and/or subjected to an impact must not be fitted to the vehicle without prior checking.

The Engine Interface Module (BSM) is not a watertight product (in particular against water spray). Water ingress must be completely avoided.

Operation of the Engine Interface Module (BSM), and of module 2 in particular, is only guaranteed when the product is fitted in its receptacle housing and that housing is correctly closed by its cover.

Fuse replacement

Module 1 fuses can be replaced after removing the BSM from its receptacle housing.

Module 2 fuses can be replaced after removing the protective cover of the receptacle housing, without removing or disconnecting module 2.
